JULY MEETING: Focus "Hive Entrance Bee-haviors & Scorching Hot Temps", Potluck Snacks Coffee, Sharing about your bees and honey, mentoring and apiary updates, future events, and general discussions with sub-topics such as analysis of entrance activities without actually getting in the heat and opening up hive: normal, fanning, bearding, washboarding, robbing, swarming (including absconding) - What's normal?, should I be concerned?, is there something I should do?... or not do?, queen marking techniques, honey DNA analysis of honey, honey sharing, etc. For Members (and first-time guests... you can join at meeting)

Feel Free to bring: Pizza, Fried Chicken, Sandwiches, Potluck, Snacks, Chips, Soda, watermelon, etc. - help Virginia and help set-up if needed, PLEASE.
6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Beekeeper Helpline, Eat Snacks/Potluck & Coffee (if any), Social, Q&A [New and Experienced beekeepers helping each other with questions, quandaries, and other beekeeping related challenges... including (if any) mini-workshops, show-and-tell, testimonies, sharing/tasting of members honey followed by our regular meeting (see below)]:
Sub-Topic: Video of member entrance adjustments to adjust and deal with temperature control and bees ability to cool... or other interests. Also demo simple hive entrances and quick modifications of opening sizes, purposes, etc.
7:00 PM: Informal Meeting Promptly Starts (minor business, updates or news if any old and new). FSBA news October Conference Friday & Saturday, October 23 & 24, 2026; National Honey Bee Day falls on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The day honors the vital environmental role of bees and celebrates local beekeepers; Bee College, etc.
The following times are approximate:
7:20 PM - 7:30 PM: Winding down of any in-progress Mini Workshops, Q&A, mingling, mentoring or apiary testimonies, videos, gadgets, beekeeping news, upcoming events, opportunities, etc.
7:30 PM: Main Program

8:30 PM: Activities End/Adjourn - Help Virginia and others load up and carry out, take out trash, lower thermostats, etc.
GPS LOCATION for Fort Myers - Lee County Garden Council: 2159 Larchmont Ave, Fort Myers, FL: This address will take you to our main parking area (the Edison Home Overflow GRASS Parking).
The Virginia Avenue address should NOT be used except for Handicap, loading/unloading, limited space available for officers, guest speakers, etc... Otherwise please use parking lot on Larchmont side of meeting room where there is plenty of ample parking and easy access to meeting room entrance door.
