Assembling Frames Workshop & Use of Frame Assembly Jig

I've heard some of our members and new beekeepers say that they purchased hive kits and that it took all day to assemble because there were so many pieces.  It can be a daunting task to assemble frames and foundation... especially if you haven't done before or haven't developed some way of making it more productive and less tedious.

This device (demonstrated in the video tutorial below) may be just what you need if you wish to assemble your own frames (at a nice cost savings) rather than purchasing your frames already assembled.  This also works for those who really want more control over the way the frames are assembled (good glue, additional or even extra nails considered important by many). 

Many beekeepers leave their hives outside the hive for brief (or longer) periods and exposed to weather, so a good, food-safe, exterior glue can be very important and actually provide more structural integrity to the frame assemble than the fasteners.  Some use indoor/outdoor glues which may not hold up as well as a quality exterior only glue.  Many consider the fasteners (nails, brads, staples) as only there to hold the glued item in place until dry.
