Mann Lake's Notched Inner Cover is built to last for years of use in the hive! Masonite-free and fully assembled!  Use of inner cover is often not recommended here in SW Florida, but the cover has other uses: With a bee escape device in the ventilation hole an inner cover can also be used to clear bees from a super before harvesting honey or for inverted (pail, jar, etc.) feeder over the inner cover vent hole and then hidden/covered by placing an empty hive body and cover over the feeder.  There are creative uses where it has been used for hive beetle trapping methods or for application of mite treatments.  You will find other uses by searching the internet.
